Vinyl Survivor #141, Classic Electronics

Episode #141 of The Vinyl Survivor. The Vinyl Survivor show is about my journey to constantly explore new music. I show 10 albums I have recently listened to. Sometimes they are new releases, and sometimes they are vintage finds pulled from my “inbox” of vinyl I have purchased but haven’t had the chance to clean and listen until now. I give a brief review of each album and let you know if they are destined to stay in my permanent collection of if they are going to be voted off the island!

  1. Morton Subotnick ‎– Silver Apples Of The Moon is a good one. Fish Rising is another one that I have spun many a times. Thanks for sharing. AFter watching your video, now i need to go find a good friend like MIke LOL

  2. Cool to see classic electronic albums Wes. I don't have many early synth stuff and none of these I've seen or heard of; but wanna check out now… especially Silver Apples of the Moon; sounds like a treat if you are with it for the long haul. Pretty cool. Great job kicking out these video and "playing catch up"; really enjoying them!

  3. Hi there Wes,
Some definite must listens in this episode of the VS all electronics. Morton Subotnick's 'Silver Apples Of The Moon' is fantastic. I used to get this confused with the band Silver Apples. <> I was just listening to 'Fish Rising' somewhat recently. I listened to that and Bill Bruford's 'One Of a Kind' right after. Cool Gabriel pickup. This was very enjoyable. ~
