Just because something is difficult doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Over the past centuries, archaeologists, historians, and engineers have reconstructed a great deal of the technology and science used to build the Egyptian pyramids. This week we look at ancient Egyptian mathematics, building techniques, tools, and culture to reconstruct the Great Pyramid’s construction.

  1. You asked for it and here it is! How the pyramids were built, a follow-up to our video about who built the pyramids. Have a different idea about how they were built? Let us know in the comments… and bring your evidence!

  2. Unfortunately, slavery has been a major component of civilization since Mesopotamia. The idea that they weren't involved in the pyramid construction is somewhat laughable. 'they had houses' is not really an argument by the way; the population of Rome was 1/3 slave. The level of privilege experienced by Roman slaves varied and the more privileged slaves often chose not to participate in slave revolts.

  3. I don’t buy your theory. The Egyptians marked their work, yet there are no markings inside the pyramids. The so-called casket is perfectly square and smooth, made from one of the hardest stones. I don’t think the Egyptians built them, nor do I believe aliens did; instead, I suspect a now-extinct advanced civilization might have. I also believe the great flood really happened, potentially wiping out advanced societies, which could explain many unexplained phenomena around the world. Additionally, I think the pyramids and the Sphinx were constructed long before 5,000 years ago. Ultimately, everything about the pyramids is just a theory.
