The Future of Robotics

We are excited to announce we have raised $150 million in a Series B funding round. This capital raise will rapidly expand our hiring and production and will accelerate the delivery of our next-gen robot.

At Agility, we make robots that are made for work. Our robot Digit works alongside us in spaces designed for people. Digit handles the boring and repetitive tasks that are meant for a machine, which allows companies and their people to focus on the work that requires the human element.

  1. honestly, I still cannot see the advantage of bipedal robot carring packages over wheeled AGV. It's definitely cool at first sight, however when it comes to stability, workload, prices, I just don't believe anyone or company would try it.

  2. I'd like to know more about how Agility bots handle stairs these days, and whether they'll be able to use ladders. That's going to be important if you want them in even more human-oriented spaces.

  3. Hmm, I can see their movement is now a lot smoother now.

They take less steps when moving or pacing, and seem to react better when moving around.

I think they're gonna be very smooth and human-esq in their movements in two more years, give or take a month.

  4. I think you are on the wrong track. You should develop Digit for applications where wheeled/tracked robots fail and where a human anatomy is useful. In Intralogistics you will lose against spezialised AGVs since they are cheaper and frankly faster. The market is also a red ocean right now.
