  1. Harddrives are already obolete.

Today you can get a 1tb SSD, sata 3 or m.2, for under $100. Usually under $90. That's what people were spending on 1tb harddrives about 5-6 years ago.

More than 50% of laptops and computers, probably more like 75%, come with SSDs, with no harddrive option at all. In fact, a lot of laptops nowadays are too small to even have a harddrive.

Once you consider that m.2 drives use less power, have a lifespan more than 10x longer (the average HDD is warrantied for 1 year) and anywhere from 250 to 500x faster than an HDD, you realize that compared to a 1tb m.2 costing about $100, that 1tb HDD should cost more like $6.

    And they don't.

  2. HDDs has really dropped in price lately, like 3-4T is really cheap. Also i got a external 512gb SSD (usb) for reallly cheap. Only thing HDDs has had till now is their large backup space, but i guess soon that will not count either.
