When I worked in the iron mines of Minnesota when I was in college I drove Euclid R50 V16 and the older 40 town twin engine mine trucks. In addition I drove Haul packs and Cat trucks. In addition I did drive the first generation of 200 ton trucks. Ran Old shovels once or twice and loaders now and then. The job payed well and put me though school.
If any one is interested i have a very nice r15 euclid. I need to find it a new home. New project in the works
How dare you, Matt! LoL! Diesel rules, baby!
Nice to see that old equipment stretching there legs
I was at the show Saturday morning. I looked around down by the dozers and the shovels but it was so muddy I gave up. I wanted to meet you but the mud and rain won out. The weather cleared up and I met Mark Galece , not spelled right I’m sure, and his friends up at the sawmill. Maybe next year. It really is a great show.
Watching this is amazing to consider that 29 years before these bucket loaders and drag lines all that dirt and rocks was moved by hard men with a shovel and pick at construction sites
Oh I really loved watching the equipment,. But one thing I did notice.
In the spirit of safety, even at a park like that, no beacons no safety lights no lights on any equipment,. Even only women used to signify that the equipment is in motion ????
Do you steer that 977 with your feet or hands?
