Technology is constantly being stolen from the future using corporate time machines. For instance biorobots which looks identical to people are already operating in our society without our knowledge or disclosure. We cannot tell just by their appearance.
Since bio robots cannot become pregnant due to fact that it doesn't have a soul, they could be used in over populated countries like India and China.
Attractive good looking bio robots can potentially attract the attention of many people such that the human population can be manipulated and toned down. And this is not a bad thing for our overpopulated planet. Less population generally means a better quality of life per person.
Generally the balance equilibrium between people and planet also works better under a less population density.
